Jessica Wilkinson Named Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach

Wilkinson brings 15 years of Division I coaching experience to Severn School. As Head Coach of the Women’s Lacrosse program at Marist College, Wilkinson was named MAAC Conference Coach of the Year three times. Over her 13 seasons leading the Red Foxes, she became the winningest coach in Marist’s women’s program history. Her accolades include leading Marist to its best season ever in 2014 when the squad won the MAAC regular season championship after going 14-4 overall and 7-1 in conference play.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Severn School community and lead the girls lacrosse program,” said Wilkinson. “Severn has a strong tradition of excellence, and I look forward to building on that foundation while creating an environment where our student-athletes feel they are contributing to a program bigger than oneself.”

Herself a D1 student-athlete at Marist, Wilkinson earned her bachelor’s degree in communications in 2008. Despite being sidelined by injuries twice, Wilkinson was part of Marist’s first MAAC Championship team during her senior year, a campaign in which she scored a career-high 20 goal and tallied 22 caused turnovers.

Wilkinson takes over a talented squad that earned its first IAAM playoff appearance in several years in the spring. The Admirals compete in the IAAM A-Conference, one of the most competitive conferences in the country.
