Teel Campus Application Requirements

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS - TEEL CAMPUS (GRADES 6-12)

Applying to Severn School is a comprehensive process. To ensure that you are positioned for Early School or Lower School admission (preschool through grade 5), please complete all actions listed.

ADMISSION INQUIRY: BUILD YOUR PROFILE

The Admission Inquiry is where it all begins! To create a profile for your family that includes login credentials and access to the applicant questionnaire and application checklist, applicants must first complete the inquiry form. Here you will provide basic applicant information and give feedback on your general areas of interest.

Estimated Time to Complete: 5 minutes
When to Complete: As soon as possible

APPLICANT QUESTIONNAIRE

Parents must complete the online questionnaire which includes a $60 application fee. Following submission of this portion, the Admission Team will reach out within 3 business days to schedule an interview. Applicants cannot move forward with next steps -- scheduling an interview or class visit -- until this questionnaire has been submitted.

Estimated Time to Complete: 1 hour
When to Complete: As soon as possible. Though we recommend completing this portion of the application by October, the last possible date to submit the applicant questionnaire is January 4.

INTERVIEW & CLASS VISIT

An interview with parents and the student is required and will only be scheduled once your questionnaire has been submitted. Class visits to the Upper School are optional but are a great way for students to get a real feel for what it’s like to be an Admiral. Class visit slots are limited, so we encourage you to schedule early. The visit and interview will take place the same day.

Estimated Interview Time: 1 hour
Estimated Class Time: 4 hours

Deadline: Interview / class visit must be scheduled by 1/15/27.

TESTING

Applicants must complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). There are several testing options available, including online, paper-based, and at-home administrations.  The ISEE does not have to be taken at Seven. It may be taken at any school offering the exam. However, you must request on the registration form that the results be forwarded to Severn. Our school code for the ISEE is 210945. Severn is offering ISEE testing on 11/14/26 and 1/9/27.

It's important to register early–testing spaces fill quickly.

Estimated Time to Register for ISEE: 15 minutes
Estimated Testing Time: 4 hours

Deadline: Test results are due no later than 1/15/27.

To help us objectively assess what a family is able to contribute towards educational expenses, we use School and Student Services (SSS) as a trusted third party. Any family who wishes to apply for financial aid should complete the Personal Financial Statement via SSS. More information is available here. The deadline to complete is January 15, 2027.
