Deadline: Must be received by 1/15/27

TRANSCRIPTS

Kindergarten - Grade 5: Once you have completed the Applicant Questionnaire, login and go to the admission checklist. Click on the “Transcript Request” button and email the request directly to the appropriate person at your child's current school.

When to Complete: After the first grading term of the current school year

CLASSROOM VISITS & PARENT CONVERSATION

All applicants (Preschool to fifth grade) will visit in a classroom of their current grade level. Please note that all applicants for preschool and prekindergarten must be potty trained by the start of school.

While a prospective student visits the classroom, a member of the Admission Office will have a conversation with the parents. This meeting will be scheduled for the same time as the classroom visit and the goal is to learn more about the applicant(s).

OPTIONAL: FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION

We appreciate the financial commitment families undertake in deciding to send their children to Severn School. We are committed to offering families need-based financial aid and it is our hope that every qualified candidate has the opportunity to join our community. To help us objectively assess what a family is able to contribute towards educational expenses, we use School and Student Services (SSS) as a trusted third party. Any family who wishes to apply for financial aid should complete the Personal Financial Statement via SSS. More information is available here. The deadline to complete is January 15, 2027.

(NOTE: Families applying for preschool and prekindergarten are not eligible for financial aid.)
