Severn Seniors Earn Scholarships for Scholars Awards

Severn School is proud to announce that seniors Annie Campion, Marcus Schwartz, and Fletcher Warner have been named recipients of awards from Scholarships for Scholars, an Anne Arundel County nonprofit dedicated to recognizing and rewarding academic excellence.
This year, the Scholarships for Scholars review committees awarded a total of 33 scholarships from among hundreds of applications.

These three Severn seniors earned the following awards:
  • Annie Campion - World and Classical Languages Scholarship
  • Marcus Schwartz – George and Ruth Tormey Honorary Scholarship
  • Fletcher Warner – Mathematics Scholarship
Scholarships for Scholars was established for the purpose of awarding merit-based scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are county residents attending public or accredited private high schools. The scholarships are awarded each year to students who have demonstrated exceptional abilities in specific disciplines and who have also contributed to their schools and to the community-at-large.

The nonprofit organization is administered by a Board of Trustees comprised of distinguished Maryland citizens. Funds for the scholarships are provided from interest generated by invested escheat funds from estates within Anne Arundel County and private contributions.

Since its inception, Scholarships for Scholars has awarded over $4,000,000 to over 1,000 graduating high school seniors.
