Severn Celebrates Achievement in the Arts at Annual Awards Assembly

Severn Upper School celebrated achievement in the Arts during a special awards assembly on April 22.
Rob Redei, Chair of the Upper School Arts, welcomed the Upper School students, faculty, and staff before sharing a recap of the numerous plays, concerts, and exhibits students undertook during the 2024-25 school year. Highlights include productions of Clue and Urinetown, the annual Revels concert in December, the memory project, the first-ever student-produced Spring Showcase, and the annual Art Show. Severn welcomed Zachary Lank'08, a New York-based fine artist, as the judge of this year's show. Students earned awards in ceramics, digital art, sculpture, painting, drawing, and photography.

The Best in Show honorees for the Art Show are:

The Yearbook staff was also highlighted for their hard work and dedication in putting together the 24-25 book. This year's staff includes students from each grade, led by senior editors Sadie Elion and Becca Hill.

These included the Tri-M Music Honor Society, the National Arts Honor Society, and the International Thespian Society.
