Jack Elstner's effort not enough to carry Severn past Boys Latin, 7-2

 

Jack pitched lights out for Admirals. Boys Latin managed just two hits off of Elstner, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his two innings of work.

 

Morris got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out eight, walked two and surrendered three hits.

 

Christian Marciano couldn't get it done on the bump for Admirals, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked five and struck out six.

 

Boys Latin went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Yablon.

 

One run in the top of the second helped Admirals close its deficit to 2-1. Zach Domenech started off the inning with a single followed by a stolen base.  An RBI single by Sam Roeder scored Domenech.

 

Boys Latin built upon its lead with two runs in the third. Three errors and two walks cost the Admirals two runs.  A clutch sacrifice fly scored Lopez to open the scoring in the frame.

 

Boys Latin tacked on another three runs in the fourth. Two walks and a double by Morris scored Washington and Lopez.

 

A one-run sixth inning helped bring Admirals within five. A long RBI triple by Christian Marciano sparked Admirals' rally. Morris ended the inning by getting Zach Domenech to ground out.
