3/1 - College Info Night for Parents of Sophomores
Parents of 10th grade students are urged to attend an evening program run by Woody Johnston and Sarah Markhovsky, Severn’s college counselors. The program will explain the college counseling program at Severn, provide suggestions on how to prepare for the college search, and end with a question-and-answer session. Tuesday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. - Roche Lecture Hall.
3/9 - Historically Black Colleges & Universities Information Session
The College Counselors of AIMS (Association of Independent Maryland Schools) invites parents and students to an information session about Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The evening will include a panel with current HBCU students, admissions officers, and alumni of HBCU's. Wednesday, March 9 @ 7p at The Park School of Baltimore in the Meyerhoff Theater.
3/27 - 13th Annual College Admission Forum
Sophomores, Juniors, and their parents, are invited to attend the annual Severn School - Key School College Admission Forum, Sunday, March 27 from 4 - 6p in Key's Katharine Hall.
"This is one of the main events of our college counseling program," said Woody Johnston, Severn School's Director of College Counseling. "Academic preparation for college, the admissions process, and scholarships and financial aid will be addressed." This event is free and open to the public.
This is the 13th annual College Forum co-hosted by the two schools. This year's panel of speakers features:
Richard Bischoff - VP for Enrollment @ Case Western Reserve University
Beth Wiser - Director of Admission @ University of Vermont
Jess Lord - Dean of Admission & Financial Aid @ Haverford College
Norwood Johnston - Director of College Counseling @ Severn School
