Congratulations to the newest crop of Upper School Peer Counselors! Peer counseling training at Severn takes place during 1st semester and part of 2nd semester and involves teaching qualified students ways in which they can help friends and classmates who might be experiencing problems or difficulties in their lives. The peer counselors do this through listening, understanding, communicating, and problem-solving skills. Through their training and participation in the program, peer counselors are not only able to help facilitate the students with whom they work, but their own personal growth, as well.
