Charles 'Tank' Duckett will step down at the end of the school year as Athletic Director. "This decision was a very difficult one for Tank, but in consultation with his family, he felt it is the right time," said Headmaster Doug Lagarde.

"I have had a great six years as the Director of Athletics at Severn," said Tank. "There are a lot of wonderful people and kids who have enriched my life through this experience." Mr. Duckett will, however, take some time to make a final decision as to whether or not he will continue coaching the varsity boy's basketball team.

"When you see Tank this spring on the sidelines please thank him for his dedicated service to Severn and for helping so many young athletes cull the important life lessons that athletic competition provides," added Headmaster Lagarde.

The search for a new AD is already underway, and will culminate in mid to late April.
