Sharing in the Fun: Spirit Week and Reunion Hoco '21!
There is a difference between just being at a school and being at our school. It's the spark of energy we feel on campus, the pride we share as Admirals, and the difference we can make when we all work toward a common goal. Spirit Week and Reunion Homecoming Weekend 2021 showed our Admirals at their best — planning and working together, rallying for a good cause, and encouraging each other along the way. And as alumni and families joined us on Homecoming Day, that spark of community shined even brighter.
Who's Got Spirit?
Spirit Week is more than a few days of fun games and activities. It's a chance for students to build relationships, celebrate their time together, and harness their Severn spirit toward serving others in need. The week's activities are organized by Student Council, the Severn Service Society, Spirit Captains, and other student volunteers who work hard to make sure that every student has a way to get involved. From decorating banners and hallways (and themselves!) and performing in "Sing for Your Supper" to collecting and delivering food and pantry supplies for SPAN, these moments will become memories to last for years to come.

Coming Home to Severn School
After visitor restrictions last fall, we were thrilled to host Reunion Homecoming events in person this year. The festivities began with our Athletic Hall of Fame Reception to celebrate Joseph Morris ’08 (pictured and received on his behalf by Dr. E. Joseph Morris), Frederick Weiss ‘61, and Nicholas Elsmo ’07. Scroll below for photos.
Teel campus buzzed with energy on Homecoming Day as families, friends, faculty, and alumni came out to cheer on our Admirals, grab some gear at the Admirals' Collection, and stroll down memory lane. Scroll below for photos.
As the sun set on a beautiful day, alumni gathered on Daiger House lawn for a mouthwatering BBQ — games for the kids, good food, good friends, and lots of Severn stories. Scroll below for photos.
Thank you to our faculty, staff, students, families, and friends who worked to make Spirit Week and Reunion Homecoming so special this year. We are grateful to be able to share these important milestones together. Until Reunion Homecoming Weekend next fall. . . go, Admirals!
