Kingston Price ’24 Hits Career-High 32 Points, Surpassing the 1,000 Career Point Mark

Senior Kingston Price came away with a career-high 32 points in the Admirals' January 10 matchup against Annapolis Area Christian School, putting him over the 1,000-point mark in his Severn basketball career.
This achievement is even more impressive, considering that Price hit this milestone in a condensed timeframe after missing his freshman season due to the pandemic. Price is the seventh athlete in Severn School history to score 1,000 or more points.

The Admirals came away with a 72-50 win over a tough AACS squad, putting them at 9-5 for the season so far.

"I'm very proud of Kingston's accomplishment in becoming the seventh Severn Admiral to reach the 1,000-point scoring mark,” said Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach Mike Glasby. “The achievement recognizes his hard work, dedication to the game, and growth as a player throughout high school. More importantly, I am proud of the young man that Kingston is and his positive impact on the Severn School community through his character, leadership, service, and academic achievement. He has been a joy to coach, and I look forward to continuing to see him excel on and off the court following his graduation from Severn School."

Price, Co-Captain of the Varsity team, plans to continue his playing career at the collegiate level and is currently considering several options that will allow him to pursue both his academic and athletic goals after graduating from Severn.

Price joins LJ Owens ’18 (Anne Arundel County record 2,166 points), AJ Burch ‘19, Deon Peters '05, Brad Fowler ’93 P’24,‘26, John Vereen ’95, and Denard Melton ’98 as the elite group of Admirals who have 1,000 career points or more.

The Admirals compete again on Friday, January 12, in a road game against St. Paul's.
