Severn places 2nd in Patriot Games

The Severn Track and Field Team fought valiantly in the MIAA and IAAM B-conference championships, The Patriot Games hosted by John Carroll School, Wednesday May 1st.
 
The Boys team was in a tight race with hosts John Carroll, St. Mary's, Archbishop Spalding, and 5 others.  The Severn boys had an amazing showing despite being outnumbered, Placing 2nd overall! 
Final Scores: St Marys 117, Severn 108, John Carroll 107, Spalding 83, St Francis 56, Pallotti 47, Lutheran 12, St Johns 9, Beth Tfiloh 7.
 
The Girls Team looked to defend their 2012 title, and put forth some amazing performances despite losing many key players to injury for the season.  Nonethless they gave it their all and amongst 8 teams they placed 2nd overall!
Final Scores: IND 164, Severn 129, Catholic 80, Oldfields 47, Pallotti 44, Roland Park 30, Glenelg 9, St Johns 8.
 
Many individual event were won and many of our athletes set A-conference championship qualifying times and personal bests!  Some notable performances:
