Sean Harvey ’26 Joins Elite Company with 1000th Career Point
History was made on the court this past December as Senior Varsity Basketball player Sean Harvey added his name to the Severn School record books.
During a matchup against Maret on December 20, Harvey launched a 3-pointer that didn't just find the net—it secured his place as only the 8th player in school history to score 1,000 career points as an Admiral.
This accomplishment is a testament to Harvey's consistency and skill. “Sean has grown tremendously as both a player and a leader within our basketball program,” says Head Coach Mike Glasby, “He has always been meticulous in developing his craft as an outside shooter and a versatile scorer... Eclipsing 1,000 career points is a tremendous accomplishment.”
Harvey now stands alongside some of the program's most celebrated athletes in the 1000-point club. The prestigious list includes alumni legends Jacob Randall ’25, Kingston Price ’24, LJ Owens ’18 (who holds the Anne Arundel County record with 2,166 points), AJ Burch ‘19, Deon Peters ’05, Brad Fowler ’93 AP’24, P’26, John Vereen ’95, and Denard Melton ’98.
Harvey’s individual success is a reflection of the squad’s continued pursuit of excellence. Having secured back-to-back MIAA B-Conference Championships, the Admirals – led by Harvey and seniors Ryan Cowell, Broderick Durm, Yusuf Zachariyya – are seeking a third title and a new entry in the record books.
The Admirals are back in action this week looking to keep their momentum alive. Come support the boys basketball as they host Indian Creek at home this Friday, January 9. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
