LS: Elizabeth Wegner Musician in Residence: Kevin Martin and Rockcreek Steel Drums 10/21-10/25

The Elizabeth Wegner Memorial Fund was created to continue Mrs. Wegner’s legacy of instilling a joy for music by providing unique musical opportunities for the Lower School students of Severn School. This fall, as part of a Musician in Residence program made possible by The Elizabeth Wegner Memorial Fund, we have the privilege of welcoming back Kevin Martin and Rockcreek Steel Drums to the Lower School!

Our experience with Mr. Martin will begin with an assembly for all Lower School students on Monday, October 21. Over the rest of the week, students will participate in workshops with Mr. Martin. The residency will culminate with a special performance assembly for all Lower School students and families at 1:15pm on Friday, October 25. At this assembly, students will share what they will have learned in their workshops.

Lower School families are invited to attend the performance on Friday, October 25. PARKING CHANGE: We will have parking available on campus. When the lot fills, please park diagonally along the sidewalk. We will open the back field if needed. PLEASE follow the directions of all school personnel and DO NOT PARK on the residential side of Parrish Place or on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. Thank you!

In honor of Mrs. Wegner's best kept secret of having "Crazy Sock Tuesdays", we will have "Crazy Sock Friday" on Friday, October 25. *Please note that out of uniform dress only applies to socks or tights; otherwise, students should be in uniform.
