FCD Evening for Any Interested Parents

Severn parents are invited to join FCD prevention specialist, Rodney Poole, for an evening of education around issues related to substance use prevention. (This event is in addition to the mandatory event on February 5th for freshman families.) The format for the 2/12 parent education event be will a presentation, but will also be highly interactive. Mr. Poole will address such topics as

Current drug and substance use trends for teens (Do you know what a Juul looks like? You should.)
parties,
new drivers (and underage substance use),
teen stress levels,
limit setting and monitoring of teen behavior,
peer pressure and social norms,
how to model and promote healthy choice making,
and substance use trends on the college scene.

All parents are encouraged to attend, and freshman families are welcome to come to both evenings, as content and mission for the two evenings are different.
