ADHD and the Teenage Brain Remote Seminar for Parents

This event is open to all Severn parents, though content will be geared more towards parents of middle and upper school-aged kids. Additional details will follow in the Binnacle.
Dr. Cooper-Kahn specializes in helping children manage behavioral, emotional and academic challenges.  She has particular expertise in attention disorders and learning disabilities with an emphasis on interventions for executive functioning difficulties.  She is the author of two books on executive functioning: Late, Lost and Unprepared: A Parent's Guide to Helping Children with Executive Functioning (written with Dr. Laurie Dietzel) and Boosting Executive Skills in the Classroom: A Practical Guide for Educators, co-authored with Learning Specialist Margaret Foster.  Dr. Cooper-Kahn also is a well-known speaker in the community and at national and international conferences.
For over 25 years, Dr. Cooper-Kahn has worked with the full range of developmental challenges affecting children.  She works closely with parents, teachers and other community professionals to help build each child's competencies.  She is often called upon for consultations and second opinions regarding complex cases.
