US Hoop Madness

Upper School students, faculty, and staff are gearing up for Hoop Madness, the fun co-ed basketball challenge sponsored by the APA’s Admirals After Hours committee. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, from 6:30- 10:30p in the two gyms of the Edward St. John Athletic Center. There will be 32 teams again this year so there should be room for everyone who wants to play! 

• Co-ed teams - 3 boys/3 girls (6 total) - 2 boys & 2 girls on the court at a time (32 team limit)
• Only 2 Severn basketball players and/or coaches per team - no 'stacked' teams
• Games will be half-court, 10 minute, 'running clock
• Each team will receive t-shirts to customize (fringed, painted, etc.) as long as appropriate for a school event
• T-shirt colors will be distributed on a first come, first served basis
• Each team must come up with a team name that must be approved by the administration
• Honors will go to: First Place Team, Runner-Up, Most Spirited, and Best Costume

Lots to do for players and spectators! You do not need to be on a team to participate in the contests (free throw, three-point shots, etc). So come on out and cheer on your favorite team. The Galley will be open to purchase refreshments.
