The admission experience is designed to be as informative as possible — for your child, your family and for our team. We encourage you to come to our campuses and see for yourself what it's like to be a Severn Admiral.
As you search for the best education for your child, we look forward to getting to know you and are excited that you are considering our Lower School.
Please call Sue Richburg in the Admission Office to arrange a campus visit (410.647.7701 ext. 2040) or email Sue at s.richburg@severnschool.com.
Registration is open for our Chesapeake Campus Open House on October 9 at 9 a.m. During this event, prospective parents will meet our admission team, talk with current parents, tour the newly renovated school, and get a sense of daily life on the Chesapeake Campus.
In the fall, there are two options for visiting our campus:
Campus Tour - once you have submitted an Admission Inquiry (see Admission Inquiry button below), we invite you to schedule a campus tour. This will allow you to learn more about the Severn experience and if you wish to proceed with a full application.
Class Visit (not available in Spring) -students who have submitted their applicant questionnaire have the option to participate in a class visit day. Once your application is received, the admissions team will contact you within 3 business days to arrange a date and time and provide you with further details on what to expect. This will be scheduled for the same day as the in-person interview, which is a requirement for applying.
We encourage all prospective families to register for our Teel Campus Open House, which will be held on October 15 at 7 p.m. During this engaging event, current Severn students lead the way, giving prospective families - parents and students - a true student's-eye view of what it's like to be a part of our learning community. Through a variety of information sessions hosted throughout campus, student guides will help you discover more about our performing arts, athletics, academics and student life programs. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with current students.
