Joe Morris '08

Following his graduation from Severn, Joe attended Yale University where majored in history and was a two-time captain of the sailing team. He earned the New England College Sailor of the Year Award in 2012, and was a four-time Intercollegiate Sailing Association All-American skipper. After Yale Joe went on to train full-time as an athlete with the US Sailing Team, competing in four World Championships. Joe and teammate Thomas Barrows competed on behalf of the United States in the 2016 Rio Olympics, participating in the men's two-person high-performance 49er class event.  In 2018 Joe was brought on as the Strategic Sourcing Manager at one of the world’s fastest growing clean-food initiative brands: Tessemae’s. At Tessemae’s Joe is engaged in complex analysis of materials consumption, global commodities markets, and development of comprehensive, concise financial strategies for materials procurement and vendor/client relations management.
