REMOTE: Course Selection Meeting for Parents of the Class of 2029

Severn parents of rising 9th graders are invited to join Sidra Smith, Director of Studies, to discuss the course request process in the Upper School on Thursday, April 3rd. This meeting will take place on Zoom.

On April 15th, rising 9th graders will receive information about course sign-ups and course placements for the Upper School.  We will discuss topics such as balancing an academic workload with extracurricular activities, choosing electives, and the logistics of the course request system in MySevern. Rising 9th grade students and their parents/guardians will be able to view available courses and course placements in MySevern starting at   6 PM on April 16th.   Students will have time to make and edit their course selections in MySevern until April 24th at 4 PM. They should seek input from their advisors, teachers, and parents in their course selection process.  Extended advisory time will be provided to help with the selection process.
