The Lower School Student Council is proud to announce that their spring service project is linked with the drama presentation of Madagascar. Members of Student Council are raising awareness and funds for WaterAid of Madagascar. WaterAid is an organization that works to provide clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene to communities in 28 countries. WaterAid supports communities in Madagascar, an island country in the Indian Ocean just off the southeastern coast of Africa. Although Madagascar’s culture is plentiful, half of its population is without clean water and decent toilets, causing many health and hygiene concerns for the community.
Please help us support WaterAid. Together we can help the people of Madagascar enjoy healthier lives and prevent diseases and deaths caused by unsafe water.
Students may dress down on Wednesday, May 16 for a $1.00 donation to WaterAid of Madagascar. For a donation of $5.00 or more, students will receive a Madagascar-inspired keychain. Donations may also be made during the evening Renaissance drama performances of Madagascar on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19. You may learn more about WaterAid at their website: https://www.wateraid.org/uk/where-we-work/madagascar. Thank you for supporting Student Council in raising awareness and funds for this project and for the people of Madagascar.
