Any families who wish to make an optional donation may send in a new pair of pajamas (one per family) or $2.00 per child. All pajamas will be donated to Sarah's House in Fort Meade.
Here are some simple guidelines for the donated pajamas:
Pajamas must be brand-new.
Pajamas in all sizes are needed—from newborn to adult.
Pajamas must be in complete sets or nightgowns.
Pajamas in children’s sizes must be manufactured as pajamas— this ensures that they are flame-retardant and safe.
Sarah’s House provides emergency shelter for as many as 66 people and transitional housing for 22 families. As a supportive housing program for homeless families, Sarah’s House is much more than just a safe place to sleep. Its goal is to effect positive change in the families they serve by providing parenting classes and workshops, employment programs, licensed childcare, counseling, and transportation, all aimed at assisting their guests to achieve independence and strengthen their families.
Thank you for helping us share the gift of a good night’s sleep.
