Red Cross Blood Drive in Memorial Gym from 8:00AM-1:30PM. Students who would like to schedule a donation can sign up during lunch from Monday October 31st through Friday November 3rd OR see Mrs. Blanck. The Lower School will commemorate Veterans Day with a special assembly. This assembly, scheduled for 8:45am, will include presentations and musical performances featuring Lower School students in all grades.
Lower School parents are warmly invited to attend. We would especially like to invite and recognize parents and other family members who have served our country. We hope to see you there!

Severn School is teaming up with Admiral Cleaners in a Call for Coats campaign at both the Chesapeake and Teel campuses this week! The coat drive will take place from Tuesday- Friday this week (November 14, 15, 16, and 17. At the Teel Campus, students may drop off coats in boxes found in McCleary and Creeden at any time. At the Chesapeake Campus, volunteers will help collect the donated coats from cars during morning drop off.
All coat sizes are welcome—infant through adult. Donated coats will be cleaned by Admiral Cleaners and given to Linda’s Legacy, an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to helping the homeless by providing good quality, warm clothes and other necessities to local people in need. Many thanks to the Kerridge Family of Admiral Cleaners (Scott '87, Whitney '88, Haley '17, Travis '18 and Jack '24) for cleaning the donated coats.

On November 15 we invite all 8th grade parents to enjoy coffee with Upper School Head Bea Fuller and Director of Studies Lise Charlier for a casual introduction to Severn's Upper School. They will give a brief overview of the Upper School program and be available for questions and answers. This will take place in the Koch Alumni Room of the Edward St. John Athletic Center at 8:15 am.

Reagan Mahan '25 will be the Lower School Head for the Day on Friday, November 17, and she has a great day planned for our Lower School students.
Reagan has chosen Friday, November 17 as "Tie-Dye Wacky Dress" Day. All Lower School students may wear tie-dye or wacky dress for a $1 donation. Funds raised will support the Burrows-Hill Foundation.
Lunch, featuring pizza from Squisito, will be provided for all Lower School students and faculty. Students may also eat their hot lunches and/or lunches brought from home on this day.
