I owe a large part of my success to the principles I absorbed at Severn which continue to fuel my personal and professional growth.”

Severn School Alumni Association President Jessica McDermott ‘97 was “honored to be part of the team recognizing younger Severn alumni for their impressive contributions since their graduation. The nominees’ resumes were impressive--therefore our committee’s task wasn’t easy. However, I believe the inaugural group of Severn’s 40 under 40 represents the spirit of Severn excellence in both career and community.” Severn Headmaster Doug Lagarde agreed, saying “The inaugural 40 under 40 group is very impressive and personifies Severn’s mission of developing a lasting desire to serve and achieve.” The Alumni Association looks forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the 40 Under 40 honorees through ongoing Severn School programmatic endeavors involving mentoring, guest lecturing, and community-building.

The Admiral Alumni 40 Under 40 honorees were celebrated at an invitation-only reception in Severn School’s Centennial Rotunda, as part of the kick off to the school’s annual Reunion Homecoming festivities on Saturday, October 5.
