Digital Resources at Your Fingertips

A database is an electronic collection of information resources that are organized and displayed in a way to make searching easy. Most of our databases are collections of journals and periodicals, but we also have some that include a mix of books, chapters of books, newspaper articles and periodicals.

ABC-CLIO provides summaries of country statistics and cultural descriptions.
African American History covers more than 500 years of the African American experience and offers a fresh way to explore the full spectrum of African American history and culture
American Indian History offers fast access to more than 15,000 years of culture and history, covering more than 600 Native American groups
Biography in Context  provides articles from reference series, journal articles, and recommended web sites.
Bloom's Literary Reference Online features content on authors and their works, including literary criticism
Civil War Era A collection of eight newspapers from regional papers dating 1840-1870.
Coronavirus Research Database is a free health and medical research
database related to the COVID-19 outbreak.
CultureGrams Online supplies cultural & geographic information for 182 countries/territories.
ERIC provides access to articles and documents on educational topics.

Health Source Consumer Edition includes full text articles from 130 health magazines.
Historical New York Times provides full text articles from the 1851-2012 New York Times. 
Issues and Controversies explores hundreds of hot topics in politics, government, business, society, education, and popular culture.
JSTOR includes full text of thousands of scholarly journals
Gale Literature Criticism full-text compilation of writings on popular authors.

Middle School in Context is tailored specifically for students grades 6-8, offers content on cultures, government, people, U.S. history, world history, geography, literature, science, and social issues 
EBSCO Middle Search Plus contains full text articles from 140 periodicals geared for middle school readers.
Newspaper Source includes full text of 28 national and international newspapers
Oxford English Dictionary acts as a guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of 600,000 words

Polling the Nations is an online database of public opinion polls  conducted from 1986 through the present in the United States and more than 100 other countries around the world.
Professional Development Collection includes full text articles from 520 education journals
Proquest Newsstream - provides full text articles from 108 US and international newspapers. French and Spanish language papers also included.
Proquest Research Library  provides access to popular magazines and scholarly journals covering a wide array of topics.
Science in Context includes articles from journals, primary sources, videos, podcasts and reference books.
Science Online offers expansive reference coverage of the full range of scientific disciplines through extensive essays, videos, diagrams, definitions, interactives, and experiments.
