STEM
Innovative and entrepreneurial ideas don't just happen; they require work and persistence.
From PreK through 12th grade our science, technology, engineering, and mathematics courses (STEM) guide student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Whether working with tools in our Chesapeake Campus Maker Lab and Teel Campus Innovation Center or creating a business plan based on user-centered design, our students gain the necessary skills to solve real-world problems with the internal motivation to try, fail, and keep trying.
We place students and teachers at the center of our decision making. The design thinking methodology allows us to make highly relevant and effective decisions for our constituents as this process, by design, is structured to place a priority on user voice and empathy.
