Do you remember summer camp? Do you remember that feeling at the end when it felt impossible to say goodbye to the whole new family you created in a matter of weeks? That feeling — that sense of community and shared experience — is what encourages many of our campers to come back year after year. It’s why our faculty and counselors put their heart and soul into the camps every summer. Our mission at Severn School is to know and value our students for the individuals they are and for the value they bring as a whole. Summer at Severn is no exception. Welcome to the family campers, Summer at Severn has officially begun.
It's All About the Kids
Every camp is organized by Severn faculty members, assisted by counselors and counselors in training, many of whom are students at Severn School. From our themed day camps like Our Animal Planet and Full STEM Ahead to our specialty camps like Clay All Day and Survivor: Teel Island, each day is planned by our energetic crew to make sure our campers get the most out of their experience.
Our faculty and counselors recognize that every child is different and that every camper adds something unique to our community as a whole. We work to make sure that the Summer at Severn experience is memorable for every child — whether that means challenging our campers to work as a team to complete the low ropes course, giving them artistic license to script and film their own movies, or simply giving some extra love to a child who needs some time away from the group.
