Severn’s Teel Specialty Camps Offer Summer Fun for Middle Schoolers

Severn School has announced an exciting new lineup of specialty summer camps designed specifically for middle-school aged students.

Led by enthusiastic (and super cool!) Severn School teachers, these immersive week-long experiences are sure to spark the innovator, creator, and fun-seeker within! From designing graphic novels and mastering different yoga moves, to competing in Survivor challenges with tribemates, if you dig it, we’ve got a camp for it.

Known as the Teel Specialty Camps, they begin in late June, and run Monday through Friday. All camps are offered as full-day or half-day sessions. A supervised lunch and break time will be provided for campers attending both morning and afternoon sessions.

Specialty Camps being offered this summer include:

Drawing Camp – a hands-on camp for aspiring artists
Survivor – campers will work with tribemates to conquer mental and physical challenges
Songwriting – spend a whole week diving into the foundations of writing and revising songs
Camp Flix – a hands-on exploration of the elements of filmmaking
Yoga – learn this ancient practice known for improving flexibility, cardio health, agility and strength
Graphic Novel Camp – campers will read all types of graphic novels and then write, illustrate and craft their own

There are currently openings for campers for the first four weeks of Summer at Severn. Week 1 runs from June 26-30, Week 2 runs from July 3-7, Week 3 runs from July 10-14, and Week 4 runs from July 17-21.

In addition to these specialty camps, Severn is also offering a Jumpstart 6^th Grade Math camp for rising 6^th graders. This will run from July 24-28 and is a half-day camp only (9 a.m. – noon).
