Sam Bennett '03

Sam is a costume designer and fine artist living in New York City since 2003. His work has been featured on runways for Christian Siriano, Victoria's Secret, Amsale and Christos. Since 2016, Sam has also been a costume and wardrobe tailor and designer for Saturday Night Live, part of an Emmy-award winning team which has outfitted celebrity guests such as Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johansson, and Matt Damon. He draws creative inspiration from his early training at Izquierdo Studio in NYC, marine biology forms and patterns, and designers such as Jean Paul Gauthier and John Galliano. A well-known student artist and founder of the Fashion Club during his time at Severn, Sam is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a major in fashion and a minor in art history.
