The Middle School Spelling Bee will be held on January 25 to determine a school winner to represent Severn School at the county level. There will be 12 representatives competing, 4 students from each grade level who won their classroom spelling bees held previously during the year. Please note, this is a student only event and will be held during the regular school day.
This event is open to all Severn parents, though content will be geared more towards parents of middle and upper school-aged kids. Additional details will follow in the Binnacle.
All parents from both the Chesapeake Campus and Teel Campus are invited to come together for a joint APA meeting in the Koch Alumni Room of the Edward St. John Center on the Teel Campus. We will be discussing ideas and volunteer opportunities for the winter/spring, with a special focus on our spring auction for all, lower school family fun day, Upper School Hoops Madness, and more! Come meet other parents for different grades you may not have met before, share ideas and strengthen our parent community!
Please park in the Small Event Parking area reserved for parents in this area or on the street in non-numbered spaces to allow our students and faculty to get to class on time. We will open the doors at 8:00 but will not start the meeting until 8:30 to allow time for lower school parents to come to campus and park after drop off. We look forward to seeing you!
Unity Day is a day set aside for fostering understanding around issues of diversity and inclusion. Student-led workshops and invited speakers lead the conversations as we pause academic classes to engage in a different kind of learning.
