Severn's college counselors invite all parents of seniors to attend a brief presentation and question-and-answer session to learn more about the college selection/application process. This event is designed for parents, but seniors are certainly welcome.
All faculty and students new to Severn Upper School and all freshmen will sign the Honor Code, indicating that they acknowledge that a strong community relies on respect for work, property, and one another.

Parents of students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are invited to join Mrs. Ginger Hildebrand (Director of the Lower School String Ensembles) and Mrs. Jenny Campbell (Director of the Lower School Band) for a parent meeting via Zoom to learn about instrumental music opportunities for students.

Each Upper School grade level has an upcoming “Parent Coffee” scheduled with US Head Steve Soden, your grade dean, and other various faculty/staff to discuss school goals and US/grade specific happenings. These will be virtual meetings held on Zoom from 8:25 – 9:30.
Severn Cohort "B" 6th graders are invited to join the fun on Tuesday, September 22, from 3:15 - 5:00pm. 6th Grade Class Advisor Mr. Yost is planning a 25-question Scavenger Hunt! Students will be in teams of their choosing (5 student max) as they search for the answers to the clues. The completed sheet will be turned in to one of the chaperones at the starting point. The winner will be based on the time and accuracy.

A special day of community and relationship building for the 6th grade class. This will be the first time that the entire 6th grade class will be together on campus! Students will start the day in Advisory before moving outside for a variety of activities and competitions. The day will end with some gratitude exercises. Students will not attend normal classes on this day.
All MS and US parents are invited to join us for our first Teel campus APA meeting of the 2020-21 school year. Because we are unable to safely gather in person, this meeting will be held via Zoom. While we know it is not ideal and presents a challenge to get to know each other, we hope that you will Zoom in and learn about ways we can work together to support each other, our students and faculty.
Head of School Doug Lagarde will lead off the meeting at 8:15 a.m., followed by Volunteer & Parent Liaison Deb Smith, APA President Asli Stewart, and Director of Development Shannon Howell. Please feel free to join in as your schedule allows. We will share information about APA's summer support and programs, discuss our New Parent Program and goals, review community events we are currently planning, and brainstorm ideas for future events.

Middle School will have a virtual Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 24th at 5:30 pm. The evening will begin with Mr. Lagarde, Mr. Keller and Mr. Howell and then it is off to your student’s classes! You will have an opportunity to Zoom through a sample day from your student’s schedule and meet their teachers.
