6th Grade Social - Scavenger Hunt
Location: On Teel campusThe Scavenger Hunt will begin around 3 (once everyone is checked in with ASP). The cost is $3.00 per person. Snacks are provided at the “base” in the cafeteria lobby. Teams (no more than four per team) compete to answer 30 trivia questions about Severn and its history. The teams are allowed to explore the entire campus searching for clues. When a team has completed the sheet it is turned in back at base. The teacher at base marks the time when the sheet was returned. If there is a tie (correct number of answers) then the time is used to determine the winner. The winning team receives a pizza party (Squisito’s pizza) during MS lunch which they are allowed to eat outside. -
5th Grade Parent Social
Join us on Friday, April 7th at the Aubin home to socialize with other Severn School 5th Grade parents and kick off spring! We'll provide the appetizers if you'll kindly bring your favorite adult beverage to share. No kids, please. Please RSVP no later than March 31st so we can be sure to have plenty of great food for all. We hope to see you on Friday, April 7th! -

Astle Lecture- Featured speaker Kyle Carpenter
Location: Edward St. John Athletic Center CenterAll student drivers will park at Woods or Cypress on Friday to allow for enough guest parking on campus. Severn School is delighted to announce that this year's Astle Lecture speaker is Corporal William “Kyle” Carpenter, a medically retired United States Marine who received the United States' highest military honor, the Medal of Honor, for his actions in Marjah, Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2010. Carpenter is the youngest living Medal of Honor recipient. Carpenter will address the Upper School on Friday, April 28th during a special afternoon assembly with a Q&A. Kyle will share a powerful message of heroism and inspiration through the reflection of his experience and road to recovery. The assembly is open to all - Severn parents, alumni, alumni parents and friends. Unlike in year’s past, there will not be an additional evening lecture. However, please register.
