School Handbook
As a member of the Severn School community, one must always be aware that an individual’s actions may affect others in the community. The students, faculty and parents form a community that is based upon integrity, respect and personal responsibility. These attributes are the basis of all relationships, both academic and personal, at Severn School. The acceptance of these values is essential for the success of all in the community, individually and collectively.

The School has adopted rules and guidelines to ensure the safety, comfort and opportunity of success to all members of the community. Some of these rules and guidelines are expressed throughout our School Handbook. Failure to accept these rules and guidelines by any individual is detrimental to the well-being of the entire community.

By accepting enrollment at Severn School students and their parents acknowledge receipt of the Handbook and Community Directory and agree to be bound by its terms. The Headmaster and the school administration reserve the right to interpret or modify any rules, procedures, or directives herein.
