Happy Holidays from the Admirals Parents' Association

Every year Admirals Parents' Association volunteers from the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools offer their time to share a little holiday cheer on both the Chesapeake and Teel Campuses. Organized by Ms. Deb Smith, Kim Hilliard and Elle Shanahan, this year’s Holiday Greens Workshop volunteers created holiday candy jars filled with local Baltimore treats and lots of love.

“Traditionally we’ve done holiday greens, but now we try to change it up from year to year. Last year we gave out paperwhite bulbs. This year we chose a Baltimore-based Maryland candy to make it a little more personal.”

This fun volunteer event spreads smiles across both campuses and reminds us how fortunate we are to have such an engaged parent community at Severn. After putting the candy jars together, parent volunteers worked in teams to hand-deliver a jar to every teacher and staff member.

Thank you to the APA for everything they do for our community! Our students, faculty and staff feel the joy they share with us during the holidays and throughout the year, every year.
