Musician in Residence Concert with Marissa McGowan and Will Reynolds

Severn School is delighted to invite all to enjoy this sure-to-be memorable event, the culmination of the 2017 Dillon Moran Musicians in Residence program. This pair is sure to knock your socks off! Marissa McGowan has appeared on Broadway in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (OBC, cast recording), starring Catherine Zeta Jones and Angela Lansbury,  LES MISERABLES where she performed both the roles of Eponine and Cosette, and BONNIE AND CLYDE (OBC, recording) Robber Bridegroom at Roundabout Theatre Company. Marissa had the honor of being chosen by Marvin Hamlisch to star in the world premier of his last musical “THE NUTTY PROFESSOR" directed by the legendary Jerry Lewis.  Favorite regional credits include Guinevere in CAMELOT at the Goodspeed Opera House, Magnolia in SHOW BOAT at the Asolo Repertory Theatre, Petra in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at American Conservatory Theatre (TBA Award for outstanding supporting actress), Maria in THE SOUND OF MJSIC at the Lyric Theatre and Casa Mañana, Johanna in SWEENEY TODD at the Geva Theatre and Adelaide in GUYS AND DOLLS at the Weston Playhouse. Television credits include: Major Crimes (TNT), Odd Mom Out (BRAVO). Numerous Symphonic work. As a teacher, Marissa teaches master classes around the country as well as privately in NYC. Marissa received a BFA in musical theater from Syracuse University. Will Reynolds’ Off-Broadway credits include Jervis in DADDY LONG LEGS and the revival of Sondheim's PASSION at Classic Stage Company (directed by John Doyle, cast album on PS Classics). Will toured with MAMMA MIA!, and regionally played Frank Churchill in Paul Gordon's EMMA at the Old Globe), Oliver in the American Premiere of LOVE STORY at Walnut Street, and created the role of Cecil Vyse in A ROOM WITH A VIEW first at The Old Globe and then Seattle's 5th Avenue. Other regional highlights include George Bailey in A WONDERFUL LIFE at the Engeman, Jason in ORDINARY DAYS at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, and Huck Finn in BIG RIVER at Goodspeed. Film credits include THE GOOD SHEPHERD (dir. Robert De Niro.)  As a composer, Will’s song "Tavern" from POEMS & MOON SONGS can be heard on on Audra McDonald's latest album, GO BACK HOME. His musical THE GREENWOOD TREE was seen both at NYMF and the Kennedy Center (Page to Stage), and he is currently developing RADIOACTIVE with Eric Price.
