Lower School Student Council Collection for The Light House

Each semester, the Lower School's Student Council undertakes a school wide service learning project. The class representatives shared and discussed various ideas, and then voted. This semester's project will support the Light House. The Light House (http://www.annapolislighthouse.org/), located in Annapolis, provides shelter for the homeless, services to prevent homelessness, and programs to help people get back on their feet. Student Council will host "A Week of Giving" from November 7-11, concluding with a Dress Down Day on Friday, November 11.

The students researched the various needs of the shelter and determined how we as school community can assist the residents in their goal of becoming self-sufficient. Student Council is asking students in each grade to a donate specific item, or a gift card from Target, CVS, or Shoppers Food Warehouse.

Student Council will host a Dress Down Day on Friday, November 11. Students are invited to dress down and donate$1.00 to the Light House Shelter. Student Council thanks you for your support!
