Musician in Residence with Marissa McGowan and Will Reynolds

Severn School is proud to announce the 2017 Dillon Moran Musician in Residence guest artists. The fifth annual musicians in residence are Broadway performer Marissa McGowan and actor-writer Will Reynolds. McGowan and Reynolds will be in residence at the Severna Park school on Thursday and Friday, January 18 and 19, 2017. The visit will culminate in a performance by McGowan and Reynolds on Thursday evening at 7:00p in Severn’s Price Auditorium. The concert is open to the public. Tickets are available at www.severnschool.com/mir2017, $10 for adults and $5 for Severn students and children under 18.

The Dillon Moran Musician in Residence program was created to commemorate the passion, exuberance and solid musicianship exemplified by Dillon Moran, Severn School Class of 2013. Dillon’s life was tragically cut short in the fall of 2011 as the result of an accident at his home in Davidsonville, Maryland.

The purpose of the program is to invite outside musicians to spend a defined period of time at Severn working with students, faculty, and the entire community to inspire, create and perform great music. The visiting musician will share their talents with Severn students and hopefully provide a fresh approach and new ways of bringing music to life in the Severn community.

McGowan and Reynolds will be in residence at Severn School on January 18-19, 2017, to provide a number of class visits, workshops, and master classes.  On Thursday evening, January 19, they will perform in concert.
