Time: 2 to 4 hours
Volunteers: 1 or 2 leaders, plus many helpers (the more the merrier). 1 or 2 will lead the group with theme, purchase decorations, and assist other volunteers in decorating the Dining Hall.
Total hours required: Leader(s) 1-2 hours planning/purchasing and 2 hours setting up on May 15. Helpers 1-3p on May 15. This year the theme is beachy. If parents have beach items to contribute for decorations, please let us know!
Food Collections: about 30 minutes
Volunteers: 1-2 to collect drinks, (put in coolers) and food contributions on May 15, 3-3:30p in Dining Hall.
Serve Food: 1.5 hours
6 to 8 volunteers to receive food/drink donations as students arrive
for party, place on tables, serve food (buffet), consolidate dishes,
put all away after meal. (Leave dessert and drinks out for remainder of
evening). Time: 6-7:30p, on May 15.
Clean-up: 15 to 30 minutes
Take down decorations, store drinks for 8th grade promotion, distribute remaining food to volunteers. Time: 9:30-10p.
Goody Bag/Prize coordinator: 1-2 volunteers, 1-2 hours
NEW! A volunteer is needed to collect a few simple 'door prizes' or
create small 'goody bags' to distribute at the end of the evening.
