Ms. Kristin Buckley
and her environmental science students ventured to Clagett Farm
a few weeks back. A working farm, Clagett is owned and operated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) in Upper Marlboro. The farm produces vegetables for CBF's Community Supported Agriculture program, raises grass fed cattle and has a native tree nursery on more than 285 acres. "The students participated in hands-on activities at the farm that taught them about the many effects the farming industry has on the Chesapeake Bay," reported Ms. Buckley.
